Veil Of Roses

Quick read, kinda cheesy, a chic flick in book form. But I liked it!

The Epic

I loved the premise of this book. We are part of an Epic full of meaning and purpose that allows us to feel loved and to see our purpose. Good Stuff! I actually read this last month (February).

Transformation

Currently reading.....is very thought provoking...more thoughts to come!

The Kite Runner

I read this book in a week in December! It was a page turner. This book gave me an idea of what it is like to live in Afganistan and then move to the US and what it is like to return and how the cultures mix and how they don't jive. It was hard to understand how people suffer so much in Afganistan because of the aweful leaders who have taken away freedom.

The Memory Keeper's Daughter

This book was very emotional and kept me guessing the whole time. It also reminded me about the effect that lies have on a marriage and how they don't go away but continue to haunt families. It made me evaulation my own life to make sure there were no huge secrets. I also was reminded of the joy special needs kids can bring, and that the love of a mother for their children no matter what the situation.

The Tipping Point

This book is so informative. I read this last year after reading Finding Manana. I recommend it to the business minded. A very good macro look at how trends catch and stick and the people who make it possible.

Finding Manana

I read this book over the course of this summer. This book even went to Vietnam with me!!!

I love this book! I never realized what really has happened in Cuba over the years! The story is about this lady's (Mirta) exodus from Cuba with her family back in 1980. It talks about her life, before, after and during, and also goes into detail about the historical events and leaders bedhind the events.

I highly recommend this book!
